Work Hard, Play Harder: Aspen Adventures for Your Group

Institute

The best things about planning a meeting in Aspen, Colorado, aren’t just the excellent venues, the delicious food, or the ease of logistics, it’s the experiences offered outside of the conference room. Inspiration can be found in every corner of our small but sophisticated town, from the majestic mountain landscapes to the challenges of the rapids along the Roaring Fork River. By nature, meeting attendees are drawn to become stronger team members, and evolve in ways even they may not have imagined. Aspen allows for meeting attendees to take part in experiences that are thrilling, memorable, and cannot be easily duplicated anywhere else in the world. Our work hard/play hard ethos delivers to build memories and lessons that enhance productivity and vitality at every professional level.

Ropes Course

Break the ice and connect the dots for your meeting attendees with team-building activities with Blazing Adventures. The team at Blazing can customize diverse offerings such as a ropes course on Independence Pass, road rally up Aspen Mountain or a scavenger hunt through downtown Aspen, to meet your team’s organizational goals.

Historical Perspective

AHS Tour

Aspen’s rich history as a mining town and the birthplace of American ski racing is just part of the Aspen story. Engage with various characters and charlatans of Aspen’s past through one of Aspen Historical Society’s Walking Tours. Whether it’s a look at town’s legendary drinking establishments, or the roots of the local Bauhaus architectural movement, Aspen Historical Societies’ engaging guides and impeccable knowledge will make a lasting impression on every guest.

Enjoy the Show

Benedict Music Tent

The fun in Aspen doesn’t set with the sun. There are a variety of live music venues in Aspen from Belly Up to the Wheeler Opera House, the Aspen Music Festival and School's Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Hall, as well as VIP access to Jazz Aspen Snowmass festivals in both June and September. Gather a large group and ask for the best seats in the house as your attendees listen to accomplished and celebrated musicians, from well-known names to up-and-coming talents, in a variety of musical genres.

Raft or Cat

White Water Rafting

In summer, consider a day-long whitewater rafting adventure. As your team paddles its way through the rapids, “all forward!” may just become your meeting’s theme. In winter, skiers and snowboarders in your group can enjoy skiing the “sidecountry,” by reserving a day with Aspen Powder Tours operated by Aspen Skiing Company. Its fleet of luxury snowcats will take your team to Richmond Ridge off of Aspen Mountain, where the powder is endless and untracked.

Self-Propelled Fun

Snowshoe

Aspen is known for its amazing mountain access. Clear the head and get the blood pumping with a variety of summertime hikes or wintertime snowshoeing adventure with Aspen Center For Environmental Studies. Private outdoor guides can provide your group with a range of options to explore the diversity of our wilderness areas. Looking for something faster paced? Local guides can also introduce your group to a fat-biking excursion in any season!
