Warm temperatures, clear skies, and summertime spirit bring music to the mountains of Aspen, Colorado. Aspen's summer season is filled with music festivals, popular performances at the Belly Up, and live outdoor concerts on Aspen Mountain. Families, classical music fans, and jazz enthusiasts can enjoy the various genres of music that Aspen has to offer this summer.
Jazz Aspen Snowmass (JAS)
JAS works to present and preserve jazz and related music through events, performances, and educational programming. JAS will be presenting a Free Snowmass Summer Series where funk, country, reggae, and soul artists will perform on Fanny Hill every Thursday night beginning June 19th and ending August 14th. Festival-goers can look forward to the JAS Labor Day Experience, a three festival featuring artists such as Ziggy Marley, One Republic, Carrie Underwood, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Belly Up
The Belly Up is an intimate music venue that hosts various concerts and events. This summer, featured Belly Up concerts include: Gregg Allman, G. Love & Special Sauce, Blues Traveler, and B.B. King. Visit their events calendar to see a full list of performances.
Aspen Mountain Concerts
Free musical performances will take place throughout each weekend this summer at the top of beautiful Aspen Mountain. Students of the Aspen Music Festival & School will perform a special selection of songs every Saturday (July 5th-August 9th) on Richmond Ridge, a short walk from the top of the Silver Queen Gondola. Enjoy a performance at 11,000ft overlooking Mt. Hayden! Bluegrass Sundays are hosted for free from June 22nd to August 31st. Performances by leading bluegrass musicians take place at the top of Aspen Mountain from 12-3pm.
The Sundeck will also be open for lunch during the weekend concerts. Gondola tickets may be purchased in advanced online.
